At Rockland county in New York City's northern regions, this week on Tuesday (26th March 2019), a ban was called into action. Children who are not vaccinated against measles are now banned to attend any public place. This comes as a result of the recent measles outbreaks which has caused more than 150 cases since last fall.
As part of its National Autoimmune Disease Awareness Month activities, American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association has launched its 2013 "Autoimmune Walk: Linking Together for a Cure" Campaign calendar with more than double the number of events taking place this year from New York to California.
Too often, mental health patients have problems accessing or paying for their prescription drugs under Medicaid. The results — longer hospital stays and more emergency room visits — are hard on patients and costly for the entire health care system, a new study finds.
In a new analysis of studies conducted following the implementation of the 2010 Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act, researchers find positive effects on the dietary quality of meals served to school-aged children.
