A new analysis based on animal studies suggests that showering in manganese-contaminated water for a decade or more could have permanent effects on the nervous system. The damage may occur even at levels of manganese considered safe by the Environmental Protection Agency, according to researchers from Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
The American College of Cardiology is partnering with 1776, the global incubator and investment fund, as an association partner in addition to supporting 1776's Challenge Cup - a global competition spanning 16 cities in 11 countries to identify the most promising health startups solving some of the health care industry's biggest challenges.
Any parent knows that newborns still have a lot of neurological work to do to attain fully acute vision. In a wide variety of nascent animals, genes provide them with only a rough wiring plan and then leave it to the developing nervous system to do its own finish work.
Althea Technologies, Inc. announced today that it has extended its service offering to include labeling, packaging, storage and distribution of drug and biological products through its co-marketing partner, Sherpa Clinical Packaging.
