Researchers from Taiwan report in a new study that unsedated colonoscopy for primary colorectal cancer screening is well accepted in a majority of patients. Sedation is typically used for colonoscopy to make the patient feel comfortable during the procedure.
A virus not known to cause disease kills triple-negative breast cancer cells and killed tumors grown from these cells in mice, according to Penn State College of Medicine researchers. Understanding how the virus kills cancer may lead to new treatments for breast cancer.
Boston Scientific Corporation today announced U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for LATITUDE 6.0, a software upgrade to the Company's LATITUDE® Patient Management system. The LATITUDE system enables physicians to remotely monitor patients with implantable cardiac devices. The upgrade provides enhanced functionality, including the ability to view an expanded history of a patient's remote follow-up data.
