The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today issued draft guidance that clarifies when changes or modifications to a previously cleared 510(k) device require a new premarket submission.

The results suggest varying brain activity may reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease. The study, "Non-stationarity in the "Resting Brain's" Modular Architecture," was presented at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference and recently published in the journal PLoS One.
