The agreement covers the acute care segment of the health care market, which includes nearly 6,000 hospitals in the United States plus surgery centers, wound care centers, and other associated health care facilities. Sales under this new agreement are expected to start later this month.

This report from researchers at Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Business and the George W. Bush Institute, published in the MIT Press journal Innovations, looks at a "model and methods that provide an outline for complete and comprehensive health care systems for developing countries," according to a Rice University press release.
