This technology represents a major breakthrough in treating complex arrhythmias.
AMPAC Fine Chemicals LLC (AFC), a subsidiary of American Pacific Corporation (Nasdaq: APFC) announced today that it received the Environmental Responsibility and Sustainability Award at the Annual Statewide Environmental Summit, sponsored by the California Manufacturers and Technology Association (CMTA), the Industrial Environmental Association (IEA) and the Chemical Industry Council of California (CICC) held in San Diego.
Scientists at Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason are studying a critical question in type 1 diabetes: Why do some people who get type 1 diabetes continue to produce small amounts of insulin over time while others stop? Researchers have found at the time of diagnosis with type 1 diabetes that many people continue to produce small amounts of insulin.
For the past three decades, saturated fat has been considered a major culprit of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and as a result dietary advice persists in recommending reduced consumption of this macronutrient. However, new evidence shows that saturated fat intake has only a very limited impact on CVD risk causing many to rethink the "saturated fat is bad" paradigm.
