CME Medical, is urging hospices to improve their patient safety as part of Hospice Care Week (Oct 7-13) by making the transition from using older ambulatory syringe drivers to using its own T34TM Ambulatory Syringe Pump, to help meet National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) guidance.
A new quality improvement initiative that aims to create effective solutions in optimizing adult vaccination rates was announced today.
Although the majority of children outgrow allergies to bee, wasp and other insect stings, almost one in five who had allergic reactions when stung as children - especially those who had serious allergic reactions - are likely to have reactions later in life, according to a study by Johns Hopkins scientists.
Sen. Olympia Snowe, R-Maine, is one of two Republicans who did not sign on to the Finance Committee GOP recommendations for the super committee. Snowe reportedly took issue with calls to tighten Medicare eligibility requirements and to block grant the Medicaid program.
