Researchers from the Cochrane Infectious Diseases Group, hosted at LSTM, have conducted an independent review to examine the diagnostic accuracy of the GenoType MTBDRslassay for the detection of resistance to second-line anti-tuberculosis drugs.
SUDEP is the sudden unexpected witnessed or unwitnessed, non-traumatic and non-drowning death in people with epilepsy, with or without evidence of a seizure. It doesn't necessarily have to be in the known context of a seizure, excluding documented status epilepticus, where people have seizure after seizure.
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has declared a public health emergency for North Dakota in response to floods affecting the state. The action ensures beneficiaries of Medicare, Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program receive benefits during this emergency time period.
