A team of investigators at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ); Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey; and Princeton University, have determined that cancer cells are "addicted" to a self-preservation process known as autophagy. To evaluate and understand the adherence to public health actions recommended by the government, a team in Norway undertook a study funded in part by the Norwegian Research Council's Centres of Excellence Funding Scheme and by the project: A realtime analytical pipeline for preparedness, planning, and response during the COVID-19 pandemic in Norway.
In what could be good news for the Obama administration, the full U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit has agreed to rehear a lawsuit that argued the federal government lacks the authority to provide insurance subsidies in states that do not run their own exchanges.
