The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is reportedly about to issue "blackbox" warnings for drugs used to enhance the images of ultrasound machines in the diagnosing of heart problems.
A series of discoveries by an international consortium of scientists, including a team from The University of Queensland's Institute for Molecular Bioscience (IMB), will transform our understanding of how our genome works to produce a complex organism like a human being.
The Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA) says the new lowered exercise guidelines released today by the Public Health Agency of Canada represent minimums for a sedentary population, and will therefore not be applicable to all Canadians. Guidelines for exercise targets for Canadians should be based on health characteristics including health status and current activity levels.
