Achieving success in the global fight against the "big three" diseases - HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, which together account for 5.6 million deaths a year - may well require a concurrent attack on the world's most neglected tropical diseases, says a team of researchers in the international open access journal PLoS Medicine.
Spectros Corporation announced today that 2011 year-to-date sales revenue rose 51% over the similar period in 2010.
Jackson Memorial Hospital's Holtz Children's Hospital celebrated the renovation of the Pediatric Dialysis Unit Tuesday morning by honoring the Batchelor Foundation, George E. Batchelor, founder; Alonzo Mourning and Zo's Fund for Life; the Jackson Memorial Foundation Guardian Angels; and Alma Hernandez, in memory of her husband Dr. Ismael Hernandez. Together, they raised all of the $800,000 needed for the project.
