Auxilium, FCB I file suit against Watson over generic Testim

Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today confirmed that its subsidiary, Watson Laboratories, Inc., filed an Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) seeking approval to market Testosterone Gel, 1%. Watson's 1% testosterone gel product is a generic version of Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc.'s Testim 1%.

Caltech biologists gain new insight into migrating cells

At any given moment, millions of cells are on the move in the human body, typically on their way to aid in immune response, make repairs, or provide some other benefit to the structures around them. When the migration process goes wrong, however, the results can include tumor formation and metastatic cancer. Little has been known about how cell migration actually works, but now, with the help of some tiny worms, researchers at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) have gained new insight into this highly complex task.

Clinical data of pomalidomide for treating patients with multiple myeloma presented at ASH 2010

Celgene International Sàrl today announced that its next IMiD compound, pomalidomide, was evaluated in three separate investigational trials of patients with multiple myeloma who were relapsed or refractory after prior treatments including lenalidomide, thalidomide and bortezomib. The clinical data were presented at the 52nd Annual Meeting of the American Society of Hematology in Orlando, Florida.
