FDA accepts Protalix taliglucerase alfa NDA resubmission for review

Protalix BioTherapeutics, Inc., announced today that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted for review the resubmission of the taliglucerase alfa New Drug Application (NDA) following the Company's receipt of a Complete Response Letter (CRL) in February 2011.

Diabetes easily identified in pregnant women with simple blood test

More than a third of women who suffer from diabetes during pregnancy develop type 2 diabetes within five years and those most at risk can be predicted from their blood glucose levels at diagnosis, according to a study published in the June issue of the Postgraduate Medical Journal .

Waist circumference, body mass index, and postmenopausal breast cancer incidence

A study of predominantly white women finds a larger waist circumference is associated with higher risk of postmenopausal breast cancer, but not beyond its contribution to BMI. The study, by American Cancer Society researchers, fails to confirm previous findings that body shape itself is an independent risk factor for breast cancer. The current study appears in the April 2014 issue of Cancer Causes, and Control.

Seattle Genetics to present SGN-75 phase I data at ESMO Congress

Seattle Genetics, Inc. today announced that preliminary data from a phase I study of SGN-75 in relapsed and refractory non-Hodgkin lymphoma and metastatic renal cell carcinoma will be presented during a poster session at the 35th European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress being held October 8-12, 2010 in Milan, Italy.
