A Cornell study of genome sequences in African-Americans, European-Americans and Chinese suggests that natural selection has caused as much as 10 percent of the human genome to change in some populations in the last 15,000 to 100,000 years, when people began migrating from Africa.
A new study examining why young South Asian heart attack patients have more adverse outcomes found this patient population was often obese, used tobacco products, and had a family history of heart disease or risk factors that could have been prevented, monitored for or treated before heart attacks happen.

A clinical research study published in the British Journal of Surgery shows that fluorescence guidance (where a fluorescent chemical compound re-emits light with a long wavelength) can enable a colorectal surgeon to assess cancer tissues visually and with more specificity in real-time during surgery, by utilising near-infrared (NIR) light from an administered fluorophore in conjunction with artificial intelligence (AI) methods.
The National Association For Continence (NAFC) is heading a newly formed council with the objective of establishing national, independent quality standards for disposable adult absorbent products provided by states to Medicaid waiver recipients cared for in their private homes rather than as residents of a state-funded nursing home.
