The National Institutes of Health Federal Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and the nation's largest serving the healthcare and biomedical industries has proudly announced a new collaboration with the George Washington Cancer Institute (GWCI).
Wanting to replace the medical equipment for taking X-rays, the Mexican Society of Radiology (CMR) created a system of digital x-ray imaging, which replaces the traditional plaque by a solid detector, which delivers results in five seconds. Analog equipment take six minutes to develop the traditional film.
Today, 500 members of SEIU ULTCW joined a coalition of labor, business, education, and faith groups at a massive rally in downtown Los Angeles to kickoff a 48-day "March for California's Future" and to launch their campaign to fight the Governor's draconian cuts to the state's in-home care program (In-Home Supportive Services).
After the first ever MediSens conference, 2016, it is fair to say that there is much excitement in the area of medical imaging. The industry is experiencing a drive towards a more personalized approach to healthcare, providing patients with treatment that is specific and adaptive to them.
Over 17,000 patients will have been diagnosed with locally-advanced pancreatic cancer in the United States in 2011. Surgery is not a treatment option for these patients whose tumor has grown beyond the pancreas to surrounding vital structures.
