Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTI) today announced that it has received notification from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that the partial clinical hold on tosedostat (IND 075503) has been removed and all studies underway may continue.
Emerging Healthcare Solutions, Inc. disclosed that the Company has received documents from Stand-By Systems affirming that their revolutionary LIFEDGE prototype is now complete and ready for pilot scale production. EHSI recently executed an option with Stand-By Systems, owner of the new FDA approved SBS 1615 catalytic oxygen generator and associated systems.
In five randomized controlled trials involving 457 people, the authors report that for patients treated with methotrexate, as a single therapy or in combination with other drug treatment, pooled data showed a tendency toward an increased risk of death or liver transplantation. The brand names for methotrexate are Rheumatrex and Trexall.
Difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep increase as women go through menopause according to research by Rush University Medical Center. Waking up earlier than planned also increases through late perimenopause but decreases when women become postmenopausal. The study is published in the July 1 issue of the journal SLEEP.
