Researchers have found that children in low-income families experience greater access to preventive medical and dental care under Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) than children covered by private insurance. However, for all types of insurance coverage, access to pediatric specialty care was a challenge.
The Wall Street Journal: A Senate Committee will hold hearings Wednesday about "continuing-care retirement communities," which charge large up-front fees to care for seniors for life. "CCRCs offer a range of care — from independent-living apartments to skilled nursing facilities — that allows seniors to 'age in place.'
Adimab, Inc., a leader in the discovery of fully human antibodies, today announced the initiation of research collaborations with Pfizer and an undisclosed second company. Adimab also announced the receipt of milestone payments from two recently announced discovery collaborations with Merck and Roche.
UK scientists are to help tackle TB and malaria in the developing world through their leadership of two major international research projects.
