Santarus, Inc., a specialty biopharmaceutical company, today announced that positive data from two investigator-initiated studies with ZEGERID® (omeprazole/sodium bicarbonate) will be presented in poster sessions at the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) 2009 Annual Scientific Meeting taking place in San Diego. These studies were supported by grants from Santarus.
"The past four years have brought some exciting changes in the U.S. government when it comes to progress in gender equality," Maryce Ramsey, senior gender equality adviser for IntraHealth International, writes in the organization's "Global Health Blog."
Aetna today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Genworth Financial, Inc. to acquire Genworth's Medicare Supplement business and related blocks of in-force business. Genworth is a leading provider of Medicare Supplement coverage. The business has more than 145,000 Medicare Supplement members.
"African leaders have reaffirmed their commitment to efforts to eliminate malaria, after they were informed that unprecedented success in scaling up malaria control interventions resulted in one-third reduction of malaria deaths in African in the last decade," PANA/Afriquejet reports.
