The freely available tool, called ProteinPaint, is described in today's issue of the scientific journal Nature Genetics.
A scientific breakthrough may give the field of radiation oncology new tools to increase the precision and safety of radiation treatment in cancer patients by helping doctors "see" the powerful beams of a linear accelerator as they enter or exit the body.
Using multiple forms of media at the same time - such as playing a computer game while watching TV - is linked to symptoms of anxiety and depression, scientists have found for the first time.
Cancer survivor Jarod Finlay will share his experiences as the first patient to undergo an investigational procedure - stereotactic body radiation therapy - during a conference of world experts on the procedure this Friday and Saturday at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
