Cynosure, Inc. today announced the presentation of a new study that demonstrates the clinical benefits of using a 1440 nm wavelength in laser-assisted lipolysis to disrupt fat tissue and tighten skin through tissue coagulation. The study, led by Barry DiBernardo, M.D., Medical Director of New Jersey Plastic Surgery, is one of six Cynosure-related abstracts being presented this week at the 2010 American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) Annual Conference in Arizona.
Researchers have found why some people are more susceptible to gout than others. The scientists looked at the genetic codes of more than 12,000 people after identifying a gene linked to uric acid levels in the blood.
Dutch scientists are suggesting that radio frequency identification devices (RFIDs) could cause critical care medical equipment to malfunction.
