A research group including Professor KAMADA Shinji, Research Fellow NAGANO Taiki (both from the Kobe University Biosignal Research Center), and Unit Chief ENARI Masato (National Cancer Research Institute) has succeeded in identifying genes that control cellular senescence - permanently arrested cell growth.
A team of researchers from the Johns Hopkins University, USA; Imperial College London, UK; and Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics, Switzerland, recently compared the effectiveness of Ag-RDT, NAAT, and clinical judgment alone in the diagnosis of COVID-19 in symptomatic patients.
Patients with advanced prostate cancer in Scotland will not get access to a new drug which can extend their lives by more than three months. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer to affect men and the second most common cause of death.
