The Harvard Clinical Research Institute (HCRI) announced today the successful completion of randomization in the DAPT Study, with the total number of patients randomized exceeding the upper goal set for the Study.
A local research study conducted by KK Women's and Children's Hospital and Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School has found that pregnant patients benefit most from gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) screening as it allows for timely interventions and brings about health benefits that far outweigh the cost.
Researchers at Moffitt Cancer Center and colleagues at the University of South Florida and the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg have found that having antibodies for cutaneous types of human papillomavirus (HPV), coupled with sun exposure (ultraviolet radiation) or poor tanning ability, can act "synergistically" in the development of non-melanoma skin cancers such as basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).
A new portable arm rehabilitation robot will help patients to carry out robot-aided therapy at home, allowing them to perform intensive exercises without visiting hospitals or clinics, which can possibly reduce the risk of exposure to infectious diseases such as COVID-19.
The International Aspirin Foundation, founded in 1974, is seeking applicants for the Senior Science Award 2016. This is open to scientists who can demonstrate a track record of valuable, significant medical scientific research (basic, translational or clinical), contributing to the scientific knowledge of aspirin/acetylsalicylic acid.
