People living with Hepatitis C are highly critical of the treatment they have received from health professionals, particularly doctors, according to a new study by a University of Auckland sociology researcher.
Delcath Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: DCTH), a Manhattan headquartered medical technology company testing its proprietary treatment method for primary and metastatic cancers to the liver, announced that it has signed a three-year lease with the option to buy on a 10,000 square foot facility in Queensbury, New York in which it plans to locate manufacturing of its Percutaneous Hepatic Perfusion (PHP(TM)) System.
Omega-3 fish oil might help protect against alcohol-related neurodamage and the risk of eventual dementia, according to a study published in the journal PLOS ONE.
Based on their clinical experience and observations, a team of Johns Hopkins physicians and psychologists say that more than one-third of the patients admitted to The Johns Hopkins Hospital's inpatient epilepsy monitoring unit for treatment of intractable seizures have been discovered to have stress-triggered symptoms rather than a true seizure disorder.
