In a first for the Central European region, national health professions organisations have discussed and endorsed the WHPA Prague Call to Action, to reduce the harmful impact of falsified medical products on patients and the public.
Herd immunity has been one of the key topics amid the coronavirus pandemic. Previous reports show that when a large proportion of the population gets immune to the novel coronavirus, through vaccination, herd immunity can be achieved.
A new study has shown that the immune cells within the gut could be related to the rate of metabolism. The results of the new study titled, "Gut intraepithelial T cells calibrate metabolism and accelerate cardiovascular disease," are published in the latest issue of the journal Nature.
Metastatic prostate cancer patients who received an investigational vaccine made from their own frozen immune cells lived 10 months longer than those not treated with it, according to data being presented by researchers from the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson at the 2011 American Society of Clinical Oncology annual meeting in Chicago on Saturday, June 4.
