Professor of neurology, physician, and author Oliver Sacks M.D. has outlined case studies of hallucinations of musical notation, and commented on the neural basis of such hallucinations, in a new paper for the neurology journal Brain.
The proportion of twins born by cesarean delivery in Victoria, Australia increased threefold, from 24% to 71% of all twin births, during 1983–2015, despite high-level evidence that routine cesarean delivery of twins does not benefit mothers or babies, according to the authors of research published online today by the Medical Journal of Australia.
Avid deforestation of the tropical forests is cited to be one of the reasons for the 50% increase in incidence of this disease in the surrounding areas according to a new research that is tracking deforestation in Brazil's Amazon.
Susanna Harris was sitting in her lab class for her graduate program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill when she received an email that told her she had failed what she describes as "the most important exam in grad school," the doctoral qualifying exam. She took the rest of the day off, went home and baked cookies.
