FDA grants accelerated approval to new treatment for refractory multiple myeloma

Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted accelerated approval to Xpovio (selinexor) tablets in combination with the corticosteroid dexamethasone for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed refractory multiple myeloma who have received at least four prior therapies and whose disease is resistant to several other forms of treatment, including at least two proteasome inhibitors, at least two immunomodulatory agents, and an anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody.

FDA issues marketing approval for APP Pharmaceuticals' Penicillin G potassium for Injection, USP

APP Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Fresenius Kabi Pharmaceuticals Holding, Inc. (NASDAQ: APCVZ), announced today that it has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to market penicillin G potassium for Injection, USP, in two dosage strengths. Penicillin G is therapeutically equivalent to the reference drug PfizerPenâ„¢ G, which is marketed by the innovator Pfizer, Inc.
