NIAID doctor receives Will Rogers Institute's award for outstanding contributions to lung research

The Will Rogers Institute's annual prize for outstanding contributions to lung research has been awarded to Dr. Anthony Fauci. The $50,000 award was created to honor individuals for extraordinary work leading to advancements in treatment for lung diseases. He is the fourth recipient of the prestigious prize from the Will Rogers Institute.

MorphoSys inks manufacturing agreement with Boehringer Ingelheim

MorphoSys AG and Boehringer Ingelheim announced today the signing of a biopharmaceutical manufacturing agreement for therapeutic antibodies. The agreement covers the process development and manufacturing of additional clinical material for MorphoSys's proprietary MOR208 program and other drug candidates. MOR208, a potent monoclonal anti-CD19 antibody, is in development for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia and potentially other B-cell malignancies. The program is currently being evaluated in a phase 1 clinical trial in the USA by MorphoSys's partner Xencor Inc.

A new study published on the preprint server bioRxiv* in August 2020 reports the preliminary results of the US Expanded Access Program (EAP) for CP. The EAP aimed to facilitate access to CP as well as to evaluate the safety of this therapy. However, the current study reports the results of an initial assessment of this agent.
