BIOTRONIK DREAMS implanted in first patient as part of BIOSOLVE-I clinical study

A significant milestone has been reached in the development of a new therapy for patients suffering from coronary artery disease. On July 27, 2010 the BIOTRONIK DREAMS (Drug Eluting Absorbable Metal Scaffold) was successfully implanted in the first patient by Prof. Dr. Michael Haude at the Lukaskrankenhaus in Neuss, Germany as part of the first-in-man clinical study BIOSOLVE-I.

Updated data from ARIAD's ponatinib pivotal trial on CML or Ph+ ALL

ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today announced updated clinical data from the pivotal PACE trial of its investigational pan-BCR-ABL inhibitor, ponatinib, in patients with chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) or Philadelphia-positive acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (Ph+ ALL), who are resistant or intolerant to dasatinib or nilotinib or who have the T315I mutation.
