Diabetics experience more complications during hospitalization for trauma

Delcath's Phase III PHP-mel trial data accepted for presentation at ASCO's 2010 Annual Meeting

Delcath Systems, Inc., a medical technology company testing its proprietary treatment system for primary and metastatic cancers to the liver, announced today that the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) has accepted an abstract for oral presentation of Delcath's Phase III Trial Data comparing percutaneous hepatic perfusion with melphalan (PHP-mel) to the best alternative care for patients with hepatic metastases from ocular or cutaneous melanoma for ASCO's 2010 Annual Meeting, to be held June 4-8, 2010 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Johns Hopkins researchers identify new therapy to treat lung cancer

A multidisciplinary team led by Johns Hopkins researcher Venu Raman, Ph.D., with notable contributions from Guus Bol, Farhad Vesuna and Phuoc Tran of Johns Hopkins, has identified a new therapy for lung cancer, the most common cancer worldwide. The therapy has been in development for six years and involves a first-in-class molecule designed by the team.
