Presentation of results from open-label extension study of Xenazine

Lundbeck Inc. today announced the presentation of results from an open-label extension study of Xenazine- (tetrabenazine) for the treatment of chorea associated with Huntington's disease (HD). Data from this study demonstrated that after an 80-week treatment period, subjects treated with Xenazine experienced a statistically significant reduction in chorea score (p< 0.0001) as measured using the Unified Huntington's Disease Rating Scale (UHDRS) compared with baseline.

Women receive greater clinical benefit from CRT-Ds than men: Study

Boston Scientific Corporation today announced results from a sub-analysis of the MADIT-CRT trial data that showed women received a greater clinical benefit from its cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillators (CRT-Ds) than men. The results were presented during the 17th Cardiostim World Congress by Jonathan Steinberg, M.D., Chief of Cardiology and Director of the Al-Sabah Arrythmia Institute, St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, New York.

Project GreenVax to acquire XDR GMP single-use production bioreactors from Xcellerex

Xcellerex, Inc. announced today that Project GreenVax has agreed to acquire XDR GMP single-use production bioreactors from Xcellerex. The systems will be deployed in a new facility currently under construction in Bryan, Texas. Project GreenVax is spearheaded by Texas Plant-Expressed Vaccine Consortium, which consists of G-Con, LLC and The Texas A&M University System. Financial terms were not disclosed.
