Icagen suspends further enrollment in ICA-105665 study

Icagen, Inc. today announced that due to the occurrence of a serious adverse event in the photosensitivity study of ICA-105665, the Company has suspended further enrollment in the study. The serious adverse event occurred in the 600mg patient cohort following completion of the 500mg patient cohort.

Micromet to present new results from its blinatumomab study at the ASH meeting

Micromet, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company developing novel, proprietary antibodies for the treatment of cancer, inflammation and autoimmune diseases, today announced that it will present new results from its clinical studies with blinatumomab at the 51st annual meeting of the American Society of Hematology from December 5-8, 2009 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Bellicum Pharmaceuticals announces $4.5 million in Series A and Convertible Note funding

Bellicum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today announced $4.5 million in Series A and Convertible Note funding. The new funds will be used to complete the company's ongoing Phase I/IIa trial of BP-GMAX-CD1 in patients with advanced, androgen independent prostate cancer, and to prepare for Phase IIb trials. The company anticipates reporting initial results of the Phase I/IIa trial in mid 2010.

Rewarding Educational Research symposium to take place on March 22

On March 22, during the 41st Annual Meeting & Exhibition of the American Association for Dental Research (AADR), held in conjunction with the 36th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Association for Dental Research, a symposium titled "Rewarding Educational Research: the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning" will take place to assist dental administrators, educators and members of appointment, promotion and tenure committees in understanding the role and potential of educational research and develop strategies to facilitate scholarly inquiry into student learning to advance the practice of teaching.

State licensure is required in each state in which a PT practices.
