Study proves the effectiveness of Vfend for the treatment of candidemia

Using Vfend (voriconazole) for the treatment of nonneutropenic patients with candidemia, an often-fatal hospital-acquired bloodstream infection, is as effective as a regimen of two older antifungals and carries fewer serious side effects than that regimen.

Pfizer's ORAL Sync Phase 3 study of tofacitinib in moderate-to-severe RA meets primary endpoints

Pfizer Inc. today announced that the ORAL Sync Phase 3 study of tofacitinib, formerly known as tasocitinib, an investigational, novel, oral JAK inhibitor, being studied in moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis, met its primary endpoints by showing statistically significant changes versus placebo in reducing signs and symptoms of RA, as measured by ACR20 response rates at six months; in improving physical function, as measured by mean change in HAQ DI at three months; and in reaching DAS28-4 <2.6 at six months.

FDA approves Xeloda (capecitabine) oral chemotherapy

Roche announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Xeloda (capecitabine) - an innovative oral chemotherapy - for the adjuvant (post-surgery) treatment of patients with Dukes' C colon cancer.

State licensure is required in each state in which a PT practices.
