Gilead Sciences closes $2.2 billion convertible senior notes sale

Gilead Sciences, Inc. today announced the closing of its sale of $1.1 billion aggregate principal amount of 1.00% convertible senior notes due 2014 and $1.1 billion aggregate principal amount of 1.625% convertible senior notes due 2016 to qualified institutional buyers in accordance with Rule 144A under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended. State licensure is required in each state in which a PT practices.
