Researchers uncover protein linked to breast cancer metastasis

Jean-François Côté, a researcher at the Montreal Clinical Research Institute and professor at Université de Montréal's Faculty of Medicine, studies metastasis, the leading cause of cancer-related death. Recently, his team uncovered a protein that, once deactivated, could prevent the development of metastases in an aggressive type of cancer, HER2-positive breast cancer.

Organic food production increases greenhouse gas emissions

If everyone became vegan and so ate only fruit and vegetables, then the reduction in greenhouse emissions for the whole of food consumption would be a mere 7%. The widespread adoption of vegetarianism would have even less impact, while organic food production actually leads to a net increase in greenhouse gas emissions.

State licensure is required in each state in which a PT practices.
