ZIOPHARM proposes underwritten public offering of common stock

ZIOPHARM Oncology, Inc. today announced that it is offering to sell shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. Jefferies & Company, Inc. is acting as the sole book-running manager for this offering. The co-manager for this offering is JMP Securities LLC. Leishmaniasis vaccine trial begins in U.S., India

"A vaccine against one of the most neglected yet fatal tropical diseases is being tested for the first time in a clinical trial in India and the U.S.," IRIN reports.
