SAFC, Oncolytics Biotech sign commercial supply agreement for REOLYSIN

Oncolytics Biotech Inc. today announced that it has entered into a commercial supply agreement with SAFC, a Division of Sigma-Aldrich Corporation, for the commercial manufacture of REOLYSIN, Oncolytics proprietary reovirus.

OrthoDynamix' ArthroSteer 3.5mm Ablator for general surgical use receives FDA clearance

OrthoDynamix announced today that it has received FDA clearance for its new device, ArthroSteer 3.5mm Ablator, a mono polar electrosurgical device, for general surgical use, including the orthopedic and arthroscopic applications for resection, ablation, excision of soft tissue, hemostasis of blood vessels, and coagulating soft tissue in, but not limited to the knee, shoulder, and primarily the hip.

Arana updates inflammatory pipeline milestones

Biotechnology company Arana Therapeutics Limited today provided an update on the major inflammatory compounds in its drug development pipeline. As part of this update, Arana said it has developed a new antibody candidate ART123, targeting inflammatory diseases and it plans to start a Phase I clinical trial for age-related macular degeneration (AMD) candidate PMX53 in 2009.
