A state bid notification for breastpumps and supplies was recently issued. "This bid had such an unusual feature that needs further attention. The bid's breastpump requirement was that the pumps only had to work for 90% of the women. The state felt that it was acceptable for the pumps to fail for 10% of the women," stated John Estill, CEO of breastpump manufacturer Hygeia.

Chelsea prices common stock public offering

Chelsea Therapeutics International, Ltd. announced today that it has priced a public offering of approximately 7.14 million shares of its common stock at a price of $4.90 per share which will result in gross proceeds of $35 million. Net proceeds to the company, after underwriting discounts and commissions and expenses, will be approximately $32.8 million.
