Oral GLP-1 Analog approved for human clinical trial

Oramed Pharmaceticals, Inc., a developer of oral drug delivery systems, announced today that it has received approval from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) to commence human clinical trials of an oral GLP-1 Analog.

New research: Spinal fluid proteins can differentiate nPTLS from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Patients who suffer from Neurologic Post Treatment Lyme disease and those with the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome report similar symptoms. However unique proteins discovered in spinal fluid can distinguish those two groups from one another and also from people in normal health, according to new research conducted by a team led by Steven E. Schutzer, MD, of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - New Jersey Medical School, and Richard D. Smith, Ph.D., of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.

Philip Strike and Andrew Steptoe of University College London, in a review published in the current issue of Psychosomatic Medicine, of dozens of studies done between 1970 and 2004 have come up with compelling evidence that indicates that people with a history of heart disease, can trigger heart attacks, some of them fatal, by physical exertion and emotional stress.
