The number of infants who develop flat head syndrome -; deformational plagiocephaly – has increased significantly since the start of the Back to Sleep campaign to combat Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) in the 1990s.
The American Journal of Roentgenology published original research from two separate studies this month demonstrating continued clinical acceptance of the Naviscan high-resolution breast PET scanner, otherwise known as a PEM scanner.
The Training, Education & Research Institute (TERI) led International Association for Life Quality (IALQ) – a national leader dedicated to identifying and removing barriers to a quality life for those with developmental disabilities – announced scholarships for Special Needs Life Quality Plans™ will be available to underserved families with a child with autism or other developmental disability.
Lance Waller, PhD, chair of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Emory's Rollins School of Public Health, will present preliminary work that explores relationships between high-levels of air pollution exposure and health effects at a press briefing hosted by the American Association for the Advancement of Science on February 17, at 2 p.m. EST, in Boston.
The study, recently published in The Journal of the American Medical Association, deduced that previous SARS-CoV-2 infection is associated with a statistically significant reduced hazard of breakthrough infection among recipients of both the BNT162b2 (Pfizer-BioNTech) and the mRNA-1273 (Moderna) vaccines.
