Primordial, a leading vendor of communication, workflow, quality management and analytics applications for the medical imaging market, announced today that it will deploy and further develop Primordial's applications at NYU Langone Medical Center. As part of the agreement, Primordial will install its platform and applications at NYU Langone Medical Center, an integrated academic medical center, to unify communications and manage complex workflow for a highly sub-specialized and distributed work environment.
Researchers from Tohoku University and Tohoku University Hospital have revealed why some existing cancer treatments are ineffective in tackling the early-stages of lung cancer. A team led by Professor Tetsuya Kodama investigated the ability of anti-cancer agents to affect early-stage lung metastatic tumors.
An established class of drugs, traditionally used to control HIV/AIDS infections, could soon be harnessed to treat the leading cause of blindness and visual impairment in the UK, for which currently there exists no cure.
Researchers have developed a chip that is powered wirelessly and can be surgically implanted to read neural signals and stimulate the brain with both light and electrical current. The technology has been demonstrated successfully in rats and is designed for use as a research tool.
