RXi Pharmaceuticals Corporation, a recognized leader in RNA interference based therapeutic discovery and development, today announced that new preclinical data using proprietary self-delivering RNAi compounds, including RXI-109, will be presented at the Keystone Symposia's Mechanism and Biology of Silencing conference being held March 20-25, 2011 in Monterey, California.
Bowel cancer survival rates could be improved if chemotherapy drugs were delivered via tiny nanoparticles to the diseased organs rather than oral treatment.
Researchers at La Jolla Institute for Allergy & Immunology (LIAI) have identified two molecules (TL and CD8aa) that cooperate to trigger immune cells to develop into long-lived memory cells to fight recurring infections. This finding may have important implications for the future development of longer lasting and more potent vaccines for viruses such as HIV and West Nile.
