The adverse side effects of certain hepatitis C medications can now be replicated and observed in Petri dishes and test tubes, thanks to a research team led by Craig Cameron, the Paul Berg Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Penn State University.

Treadmill test can accurately predict coronary artery disease in women over 65

Although there is a widespread belief among physicians that the exercise treadmill test (ETT) is not reliable in evaluating the heart health of women, UC Davis researchers have found that the test can accurately predict coronary artery disease in women over the age of 65. They also found that two specific electrocardiogram (EKG) indicators of heart stress during an ETT further enhanced its predictive power.

John Wiley & Sons, Inc., today announced that it will provide editorial production, global marketing and distribution services for The EMBO Journal, EMBO reports and Molecular Systems Biology. This expanded partnership with EMBO adds three leading scientific journals alongside EMBO Molecular Medicine, which Wiley has published since 2009.
