A new online tool, COVID-19 Simulator, developed by researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital and Georgia Tech can help policy makers see how lifting or extending different social-distancing measures at various times can impact each state in terms of COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths.

The HHS Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) is awarding nine contracts for the advanced research and development of more effective tests and devices to determine the level of radiation a person has absorbed after a nuclear or radiological incident. The contracts total $35 million for the initial phase and up to $400 million over five years.
The anti-inflammatory drug Celebrex, or celecoxib, reduces tumor mass by encouraging cell death and discouraging both cell proliferation and the sprouting of new blood vessels that feed growing tumors, according to a study reported in the November issue of Molecular Cancer Research.
