OncoMed receives $1.2 million to support therapeutic programs under QTDP program

OncoMed Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a company developing novel therapeutics that target cancer stem cells, announced today that it has been awarded $1.2 million to support five distinct therapeutic programs under the U.S. Government's Qualifying Therapeutic Discovery Project program.

LA Fitness to host in-club Group Fitness class in support of Augie's Quest

In support of Augie's Quest, LA Fitness announced today that it will host an in-club Group Fitness class at more than 500 of the company's locations on February 22, 2014. Augie's Quest is a nonprofit research initiative dedicated to finding treatments and a cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
