Researchers at Mayo Clinic have been documenting the rise and costs of physician burnout for more than a decade. Now, they are proposing nine strategies that health care organizations can use to reverse the trend and limit the risk to patients and their medical staff.
Moderately vigorous physical activity (MVPA) is good for all older men, and according to new research conducted at University College London (UK), it also reduces the risk of falls in some over-70s. One third of men aged 70-90 years have trouble getting about outdoors.
Researchers at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) have identified a direct link between phthalates, the substances that make plastics more pliable and durable, and inflammation in newborns - and are encouraging more limited use of the plasticizers.
