Incyte Corporation announced today that it has reached agreement with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding a Special Protocol Assessment (SPA) for the design of a pivotal Phase III trial for its JAK1 and JAK2 inhibitor, INCB18424 in patients with polycythemia vera (PV), a blood cancer that belongs to a group of diseases known as myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs).
The transfer of embryos cultured for five or six days after fertilization in IVF and ICSI has become routine in many fertility clinics.
In the first study to examine the association between high out-of-pocket costs and adverse cardiovascular events, research led by the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute finds that individuals with cardiovascular disease risk factors who switched to high-deductible health plans (HDHPs) did not experience increased risk of heart attack or stroke.
The Medical College of Wisconsin (Medical College), a private medical school with more than 1,100 physicians, in Milwaukee, WI, has selected the Quantros Safety and Risk Management (SRM) solution to track, manage and report adverse and near-miss events, as well as to manage the entire claims process. The Quantros Event Manager (EM) and Claims Manager (CM) modules, part of the SRM solution, were chosen from among seven different vendors.
