On February 28th, Harvey Karp, MD, FAAP, Assistant Professor at the USC School of Medicine, will present the keynote address on the prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome at the 25th Annual Conference of Prevent Child Abuse Texas, in Dallas.
Using a generic drug to treat hypertension and heart failure, instead of branded medicines from the same class, could save the UK National Health Service (NHS) at least £200 million in 2011 without any real reduction in clinical benefits.
A new study builds on previous research showing that cocaine-addicted people have a low expression of specific dopamine receptors—D2 receptors—in a portion of the brain called the striatum.
