Now researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison have found that a single HPV protein is required for cervical cancer and even pre-cancer growths in the cervix to survive.

Scientists discover way to enhance nerve regeneration in peripheral nervous system

Faculty of Medicine scientists have discovered a way to enhance nerve regeneration in the peripheral nervous system. This important discovery could lead to new treatments for nerve damage caused by diabetes or traumatic injuries. Peripheral nerves connect the brain and spinal cord to the body, and without them, there is no movement or sensation. Peripheral nerve damage is common and often irreversible. This discovery is published in the July 7, 2010 edition of the Journal of Neuroscience.

Multidisciplinary approach to treat neck and back pain caused by accidents, injuries

Advanced Spine and Headache Center is pleased to announce their expansion into a multidisciplinary approach for the treatment of neck and back pain caused by an auto accident, sports injury, or work related injury. "Our main objective was to integrate physical medicine, chiropractic, physical and massage therapy, and family medicine under one location," said founder Dr. Alex Meltser.
