Researchers receive $2.2M grant to study links between depression and cardiovascular disease in HIV patients

Jesse Stewart, Ph.D., associate professor of psychology in the School of Science at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, and two colleagues have received a $2.2 million National Institutes of Health grant to investigate the links between depression, depression treatment and cardiovascular disease in adults with HIV.

Norgine, Tranzyme commence dosing in ulimorelin Phase 3 study for restoring GI function after surgery

Tranzyme Pharma and Norgine B.V., have initiated dosing of ulimorelin in the first of two, Phase 3 pivotal studies - ULISES. Ulimorelin is Tranzyme's intravenous promotility agent in development for the management of postoperative ileus in hospital and acute care settings.

Tamro Group's first-quarter 2010 net sales increase 7.4% to EUR 1,424 million

Tamro Group's net sales in February-April 2010 amounted to EUR 1,424 million, an increase of 7.4%. A significant part of the sales increase is due to strengthened exchange rates of the Swedish, Norwegian and Polish currencies. At constant exchange rates, Tamro's net sales increased by 1.8%.

Mass. report on insurers' financial health provides mixed portrait
