A new study shows that robotic video-assisted lung resection to remove a tumor achieves comparable outcomes with no significant differences in complications compared to conventional video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS), and robotic VATS (RVATS) may allow for preservation of more healthy lung tissue.
Research reported today should provide relief to women who are worried after a relative's breast cancer diagnosis. The study in the open access journal BMC Cancer shows that a family history of breast cancer does not give a useful indication of the likelihood that a woman will develop it herself at an early age.
A new method for overcoming post-traumatic stress disorder related to childhood sexual abuse has been tested and findings are published in the current issue of Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics.
Some racial and ethnic groups suffer relatively more often, and fare worse, from common ailments compared to others.
